Great, I'm in another BIG City, with old family and friends. You know it's party time! woof woof
First, arriving late Sunday night, I grabbed a quick sandwich at the local 7-elevan and called it a day!
For lunch there was the Salt Water Microbrewery. It was pretty good. It was all American fare, burgers etc. However, I thought it was a little pricey but the food was good. I had the Oatmeal stout and it tasted to oat mealy for me!
Of course the first night, the gang got together at my Bud's Anne's house for a BBQ and ole Grilldog whipped up a batch of Bailey's Cookie's N Cream Ice-cream Woof! That was a big event! So four paws and a tail up for Anne!
Where else does Grilldog go! Well, the Vienna Inn in Vienna of course, always four paws and a tail for the Vienna Inn. What's the fair? Chili Cheese dogs with everything and a beer. Good Prices and great dogs woof!
Now for an evening in DC the troop went to Dupont Circle, downtown DC and stopped at the Brickskeller on P and 22nd street. It's in the basement and has beers from all over the world. Not the usual around the world fare you find but really exotic stuff. The problem I had was in Portugal I had a Sagres for 80cents and now I'm paying 3.50, something is wrong there! We also tried their cheese board, with fresh baked bread umm umm.
Sunday morning All you can Eat Jazz Buffet Brunch, found the gang at the Market Inn on 2nd and E, it's pretty damned hard to get there so I have to give a Grilldog Hind Leg Salute for the location and the lady that gave me directions. However, the food was pretty awesome and the setting was very nice and the Jazz Music certainly was relaxing.
Later Ole Grilldog found himself wandering around the Washington Zoo. Always a great time at the zoo. It's still my favorite, but the Panda exhibit was closed... boo hoo.
Later I found myself back at the Brickskeller and ordered food with my beer. The service was great but the food was very over cooked and not worth the price.
Monday night is always All You Can Eat Ribs at Kilroys on Braddock Street. Always a great deal there. Plus they have great Happy Hour Appetizers and food specials.
Of course on Grilldog's 41st Birthday, him and the gang went to Tony Chang's Mongolian BBQ in China Town Woof! Always a great spread there.
Grilldog's number one Bud, Dan, was in Town so off to New Jersey to visit the ole pack (Grilldog is from Jersey, the good section LOL). But first a stop at Baltimore Harbor.
Baltimore Harbor.
Baltimore Harbor was great as Always, wandering around the shops, Ole Dan and Grilldog stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe, and finally Hooters for the two things that two ole Grilldog's love the most! Wings and Beer.
Traveling on to Jersey, we stopped in Bridgeton (that's South Jersey ya all, where there is No Turn Pike LOL) Our first stop was the Hillcrest Tavern! Later we hit Atlantic City for the Casino sights. That's about it for New Jersey. Cept we did have wonderful Italian Subs yum yum and Mother Grilldog whipped up a batch of old fashioned Chicken Pot Pie. Yum Yum.
And that's the End Folks, but it's not all. I'll still travel, but on vacation. So I'll get a big San Diego addition to this because you all know how Grilldog's are...always on the prowl.
