Tuesday Night, the first night in town, after a flight from Hell on United Airlines and an 7 hour delay in Chicago, Grilldog and company went to Kilroy's on Braddock road just off 465.
The Grilldog Report... Order the Ribs or the Prime Rib or anything, the service is above average (I've had better and worse), the beer cold, the bar rocks and the food is Great! Highest complements from THE Grilldog... Don't forget, all you can eat Ribs on Monday nights!!!
Wednesday Night, First we wandered over to Tyson's Corner Mall, Now there's a Mall. We chilled out with a brew at one of the food courts and then headed out for a chili cheese dog. Now, you may think a chili cheese dog is not on the Grilldog's menu, but if it's at the Vienna Inn in Vienna VA then It's Tops.
This establishment is unfortunately not long for the world, the old guy that owned the place for centuries bit the dust a couple years ago and his grandson who graduated tops at the CIA in NY wants to open a bed and breakfast and some snotty bar tender from the fashion district wants to turn the Inn into a theme bar...What more of a theme do you need then the Best Chili Cheese Dogs in the world for a buck 35 and a mug of beer for 1.40, so show up and and voice your concerns....
Thursday Night, what's D.C. with out a trip to Old Town Alexandria. I took the troop to see cobblestone streets and we started out at Troy's Ireland's Pub it use to be Ireland's Own. Now, it's not as quaint as Ireland's own, it's bigger, the beer is still a great collection of drafts... Afterwards, we decided go to the Fish Market just down the street in King street and had great Seafood at a decent price. The Fish Market is Highly Recommended for your party food and drink needs!!!
Friday Night, consisted of a party night with some old friends from the D.C. area...back from the days when I was the Matre' de La Grillade. We went out to Chantilly to The Shark Club, great service, great food and pool tables, lots of room and a great Party Place, Lot's of singles hanging out (Can't ya feel them circling honey, can't feel them schooling around) and dancing and shooting pool...Has my vote as a place on your agenda!!! They even had live sharks in a tank, guess not all of them were on the dance floor =0)
Saturday Night. Saturday night we are BBQ/Grilling at my friends, James is bringing some steaks and we had a great time!
Sunday was the Day of the Grilldog! Still at Anne and Erol's we decided to make our own homemade pizza Grilldoggie style! Erol threw some extra garlic and oregano in the dough mix and Grilldog, Grilled up some chicken Breasts, scallions, red bell peppers and mushrooms, all coated with olive oil, oregano, and freshly ground pepper, oh and of course some Garlic. We topped the dish off with a couple different cheeses for a blend and ohh laa laaa!
Monday, we had to go back to Kilroys for the all you can eat Ribs. However, earlier, one of the Grilldogettes was suffering from a Migrane. So Ole Grilldog, ran them over to Kyser. They were very nice...super Kudoo's to Kyser! Afterwards it was lunch time...and true to color, Ole Grilldog ran down to the 14th Fish Market (really a bunch of house boats - you have to see this place) and lunch consisted of super delicious fresh steamed peel and eat shrimp and coleslaw.
