I've been working on the script for the first episode of the Teen Scene series and I thought I'd present it here for review and get people's opinion's.
The premise of the Teen Scene is that "Brenda" is the leader of the Teenage Grillpack of Friends "The Teen Pack. They want to spread the word about Teen Fun Foods that are Healthy, Easy to make and extra Yummy in your Tummy. The show is going to be Mostly, written, directed, produced and starring the Teen Pack!
For the first show, I have to set up a situation that explains why we are deviating from our standard format. I mean why are Teenagers running the show on Grilldog Presents? So, here’s the idea so far…
Opening scene,
We see several Teenagers in the Park chatting and giggling and having fun. One looks up and points in the distance …(I’m guessing on three teenagers, not sure at this time)
“OMG! is that the Grillpack from “Grilldog Presents”?”
Yes, I think it is…
I know it is, I recognize Grillpup’s Arm anywhere! (the joke being we only ever get to see Grillpup’s Arm in the episodes).
They then say, “lets go get there autograph” and they run off.
Next Scene, we see Grilldog and Billdog sitting on a park bench, obviously eating Lunch, Grilldog has a huge sub sandwich. You see Grillpup’s arm reach in and hand either take some thing or give something to Grilldog.
The Teens run up “OMG” Can we have your autographs?” And they run over to Billdog and ignore Grilldog… Grilldog shrugs it off, gives Billdog a stare and goes back to eating when he notices one of the Teens (Brenda) is sitting next to him looking at him in a scolding manner. They Stare.
Grilldog “Hi, can I help you”
Brenda “Grilldog, I’m disappointed in you!”
Grilldog “Me??? What did I do”
Brenda “Don’t get me wrong, we all love your concept of food, fun and friends, however, being in the public eye as you are, you should set more of an example!”
Grilldog “of what?”
Brenda “Look at you Grilldog you are vastly over weight and obesity is a major problem today even for us Teenagers!”
Other Teen pack “that’s right, it can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease and many other health related problems”
… “look at you, are you happy with that belly? Do children chase after you in the hot San Diego Sun just for some shade? You have more gut then a butcher shop, Grilldog.
Brenda “We don’t want to sound mean Grilldog, and we love your show and want to support your success!”
Grilldog, “my, that’s a mighty big concern you have there, Wait, I have an idea!”
Then comes standard intro. Girilldog’s coming Theme song… Grilldog comes bounding out of the house.
Hi I’m Grilldog, and your watching …
He announces that today’s show Teen Scene is going to be handed over to the Teen Pack of friends. He asks them to introduce themselves and what is planned for the day.
Grilldog and the teen pack make healthy fun, teen approved meals.
Teen Pack discusses the nutrition or health benefit of what they are preparing
Yadda yadda ya.
What do you all think, there’s a lot of bare places and the text and lines are just a base idea, they can be changed.
