Pesto

Pesto is only a food processor away. It’s such a simple and quick thing to make. Your main problem is to get a bunch of fresh Basil, or a combination of Basil and other herbs. You can put pesto on just about anything. One of my favorite things to do is to make a homemade pizza crust and use fresh pesto instead of tomato sauce and add such things as sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. Also, with today’s growing “specialty” shops, pizza crusts are getting easier to come by in the grocery stores. Therefore, if you are looking for something different to do, make a pizza with left-overs, don’t forget the fresh pesto!
2 cups basil leaves
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon pine nuts or almonds
Salt and Pepper to taste.
(you can mix basil leaves with cilantro or parsley as well. Experiment with different amounts and discover your favorite). For something really different toss in a tablespoon of horseradish.)
Combine all in a food processor and puree. Serve immediately, keeps for 4 days.

one of the easiest .. and fastest ever .. we used crushed almonds .. and its one of the best achhar (indian term for foods that falls under its category) that I have ever tasted … u know u don’t even need pizza .. try it with just plain cheese sandwich . one bread then a layer of cheese then another bread then this achhar … and u got the greatest easiest made breakfast ever !! that’s what I had .. by the way we finished it up the very day so I do not know how many days it lasts … but it tastes awesome … man .. I m sounding like a broken record .. but it does tastes so .. just got to chop them up and crush them up .. and u can whip up the best breakfast ever … amazing..

Thank's Mouri, try it over rice or pasta! It does make a nice spread for a sandwich. I'm thinking maybe with an egg omelete hmmmm.... but certainly it goes with steamed veggies and with some of your local spongy bread... yum yum
u r welcome .. althu i sud b the one to thank u actually ..

but say ... with rice ?? hmm .. not a bad idea ... good enough to give it a try .. yeah i can kinda guess what it might be like ..

but how do u mean .. with egg omelete ?? u mean just the omlete and this ?? or a sandwich with egg omlete and pesto ??
I would say make an omelet with sauteed or raw veggies, and then spread the pesto on top. With Rice, same thing add some veggies and top with the pesto.
uh .. now i get it .. that would make it a kind of fried rice like thing .. uh .. did i get it right ?
I wouldn't fry the rice I'd use boiled rice and make the veggies anyway you want, you can try it with fried rice but I'm not sure how that'd taste
i get it .. no i didnt mean fried rice .. i meant the taste of the thing would be a little like fried rice !!! but not really .. i get it now .. have to try it with rice ... sounds good ..
no, I don't think it would taste like fried rice, but you'll have to let me know. It'd probally go great with cous cous, do you have that there?
no it wont .. thats what i meant to say in the last post .. that what i said in the last but one post is wrong .. which was that it wud taste like fried rice .. which i corrected in the last post .. ur head spinninh yet ?

i will let u knw .. but what is caus caus ?? i will have to check in wikipedia ..

ok i checked .. and no i didnt exactly get it !!
it's pasta that is made so small it's about 1/2 the sice of a piece of rice. It's a dish that's typically from Morocco.
