I DID wear a hat. Stuff still got in my hair. There was even cotton candy in my bra! I know, TMI, but if there is any breeze at all the stuff blows around and you just can't keep from getting covered in it. I wear my old glasses to do it, as the particles of sugar are a little bit corrosive.

Went hunting for dove again this weekend. We may actually get enough for a meal soon. Bought a new kimber .45 yesteray. and just tuned up the crossbow. Deer season starts October 06. Food for thought?
well, we are doing a Road Kill Show come Jan 12th. I don't think we are going to do dear, but I'm hoping for armadillo, snake, rabbit, and If I'm lucky a gator! hey, how many doves does it take to make a meal?
All depends on how much buckshot you put in them! lol All the hunters in my family put so much shot in them that it takes a dozen to feed one person and, even then, you'd better be sure your dental insurance is paid up!!
I ate 7 at the last cooking of them. No left lead in mine.
I am sure you are a good shot and a careful cleaner of birds, but I have cleaned them (am not a hunter) where there is so much shot that by the time you pick it out there isn't much meat left. And they are pretty small birds to begin with.
