Hi and welcome to the first and best forum for Food, Fun and Friends in the entire universe. That's what we are about here. We are so glad to have new members! Feel free to make posts and make yourself known to our family of friends. (sorry about the buttsniffer title it's supposed to be a running gag until you reach about 25 posts then it changes to something better). If you have any questions, feel free to make a post or send me an email or PM me! Welcome again!
Thanks for the Welcome....wasn't sure about being a "butt sniffer", but I guess I'll just have to live with it.
A little about me.....I LOVE TO COOK!! Baking is what I do best, but I make a mean pot of chili...yummy! One of these days I'll actually learn the fine art of grilling....I can't have "fire" where I live....some stuipd ordinance about having flame within 10ft. of my house...sucks to be me!
A good friend and "fellow butt sniffer" suggest I join, so here I am. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. You can ask me just about any question you want, I won't swear that you'll get an honest answer or the one you were hopeing for but I will answer.
well, that's great! oh, if you post a few times the butt sniffer will go away. Our friend Mouri on the sight likes to point that out all the time and wants me to change it LOL... Glad you are here, did you hear about the Chili cook off I was in back in July, there's an ABC interview link on my home page LOL... Here's a chili question for ya... Since you bake, can I assume that you make corn bread with your chili, now if you do, do you had hot peppers and cheddar cheese or anything else? (I couldn't imagine not being able to grill!!! egads, the thought of it!
Well, the great OzDog has spoken. Butt Sniffer will now be called....*drum roll*....RUNT! LOL

Welcome to the doghouse, ncsweetie!
oooh, I'm the ozz man, that's from a cartoon movie... anyone know what it is? bwa ha ha ha
Welcome ncsweetie!!! This is a great forum! I like to bake the best too, but I'm a beginner, as I am only 20 years old. lol. It's great to have you here, and I am looking forward to us chatting about baking! Wink
I like cheese in my corn bread but I don't always use it and every once in a great while I'll slip in some sour cream. I think the yellow corn meal has the best taste, but each to his own. Of course my mama always used yellow meal and baked her corn bread in a cast iron skillet. I wish I had that skillet, I think my fishing loving brother snagged it. May it drop on his foot! I did read about your chili contest...to bad I missed it.
Yeah, sour cream in the batter is real good too. Some times I put whole kernal corn in the batter but you are right about the yellow corn meal being better. oh yeah, let's will it to happen... chant... may fish loving brother drop frying pan on foot LOL...

I had wished the chili contest went the way they said it was plained to go. It obviously needed more planning and I'm still upset that they awarded prizes to themselves!!! grrrrr
Well, if you don't if that don't beat all!! Speaking of cornbread, have you ever have had cornmeal dumplings cooked in your collard "liquer"? I'm not much for collards unless they are cold and in a biscuit with mustard....."You can take the girl out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the girl"!
I love all kinds of food if properly prepared, don't recall having cornmeal dumplings cooked in collard liquer but that sounds really interesting!
