In the beginning I tried to come up with sayings that would help steer a characters development. I also borrowed from other shows concepts that seemed to work. Grillpup's line is "Grillpup does for the culinary world what Vanna White did for the Wheel" Therefore, we interpreted that to mean you only see her hand in the show. However, she helps out a ton by making cool comments from behind the camera as well as running the camera on. I guess if Vanna can be famous by switch letters on and off Grillpup can switch a camera on and off. However, there's a lot more work in setting up the camera then just switching it on and off. Our favorite part about Grillpup is her laughter, I think Grilldog does a lot of pranks on his show just to get her laughter on tape, it's not fake, it's all Grillpup... I'm sure Grillpup will come on and say something too sometime. Also, feel free to ask any questions and I can try to answer too about the Grillpup Character....

Yeah, most of the comments we hear is about my laughter in the background. I just can't help it when he's doing such outlandish things.
I hope that when it stops being funny you will feel free to boo! lol Your laughter is a bright spot in the shows -- definitely not fake!! I think it is good to maintain a bit of mystery about Grillpup. Makes her more interesting, especially now that she is about to be a mom.

haha Yeah when my funny bone gets tripped, I can't help myself and have a hard time stopping. But I do love to laugh. Wish I could do it all the time.
actually, the laugh is one of the better parts of the show, it drawls the people into what a great time we are all having and they just have to laugh too. I thought about just making it a sound file and using it when I want to in the show but each laugh is really unique when you listen to the sound quality and in my sophisticated judgment in developing the show, I like the natural blend of her laughter with the scene that is developing rather then just pasting it higgly piggly anywhere
