As a tribute to my dear friend Chefy, who passed away recently, I am going to produce a show making Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. She was a great inspiration to me and was very helpful in many of my shows. This is the last project she worked with me on before she passed away. We'll be filming on 10/10 @ 10am at O Connors Pub in La Mesa right off of Jackson. They are going to have happy hour prices during the shoot.
Join us at the Blarney Stone on 2nd street in El Cajon on August 23rd as we dazzle you with a variety of Bloody Mary's. There will be lots of specials and excitement!

The House of Jerky http://www.houseofjerky.net has generously donated a large shipment of Jerky to the Dog House of Fun. However, I'm sure you think all you can do with Jerky is just eat it... WRONG. Did you know that there are many recipes in which you can use Jerky as an ingredient! Well Join us at the New Grand in El Cajon on Saturday 8/15 and get a new taste of something Great! We'll be filming from 11am-2pm
In order to provide a better state of the art DVD for you folks who would like to purchase a 4 episode DVD of Grilldog presents, I am working with lulu.com.
Lulu.com claims that I can load my files easily and effectively and they can distribute them to the world at a modest cost.
However, I have spent over 100 hours trying to get my files into a formate to deal with their antiquated equipment. For example, they require that 1 I can submit my files in an ISO 9660 formate, which has been out dated for years and is not the industry standard. My software is not that backwardly compatible. Their customer service is lame at best in that I have more techno knowledge then they do. If my files don't load properly and I ask what I can do, they just send me emails with copies of their help files... which doesn't help.
Talk about your production problems. Grillcat and I developed the Road Kill Concept while standing in line for auditions with our friend Sunshine who is selected to be on Deal or No Deal (we're going to be her cheer leaders), That was back in September.
Our good friends at Hacienda de las Rosas Horse Farm and Winery were going to let us use their facility to film, we were all set and were trying to get Dannicus (the band - type in Dannicus in my space) and Dannicus was hooked as soon as they learned about us. Then the folks at T&H Prime Meats and Sausages in San Marcus was psyched because they support the Hacienda. So T&H was going to give us all kinds of exotic meats and even donate the use of their Lil Pig Grill!
However, Dannicus draws a crowd too large for the Hacienda so we cut them out and went back to the Baja Blues Boys who made the theme song for our show. They are typically performing and just show up for a quickie spot or two.
Now the folks at la cook-a Rack-a LTD in New York s are psyched and wanted to donate some Taco Racks for door prizes. I thought we were set.
Now the Hacienda Cancels on me and I have to find a New Venue. I talk to Dannicus and they suggest the Blarney Stone in El Cajon where they play a lot and we both know the owner.
Now long story short... Grilldog, Grillcat, Billdog, Grillpup and the NEW Roadie Dog (chief of my Road Crew - ok, HE IS my Road Crew) are going to be at the Blarney, Dannicus is going to help us out with some tonage and we have taco racks to give out. All in All it should be an awesome time and a huge crowd so if anyone is in town come on out to El Cajon on Jan 12th for the tasting of our "Road Kill" - it's to die for.
That's right everyone, after we finished filming Kook'n for Kidney's Episode 29 we started to gear up for a whole new format beginning Episode 30 the Road Kill show.
How is this important to you? Well, I'm glad you asked. I would like you all to take a minute or two to look at any or some of the you tube video's I've posted and let me know what you'd like to see kept in shows and what you might not like to see kept in the show. I'll take all of your comments to our FAIR and IMPARTIAL review committee (Grilldog (our Host), G-Man (our personal mixologist), George (the creator and mastermind) and G G (our on sight script supervisor) - you can't get more fair and impartial then that!) and design the new shows with your inputs in mind.
Also, I've just about finished the Brand New Intro for the show. As soon as it's done I'll post it here in THIS thread for your review. Be brutal if you have too I can take it (I've a big box of kleenex on hand!
Ok ok, everyone please stop barking at my door. I've called animal control and they're on your side too! I give up, I give up. You win, Grilldog is rolling over, playing dead even, burying his head in the sand.
Starting with the episode I'm currently editing, Tortang Talong, I will start to post some snipets (yes moving snipets) of the show on my website (the dvd section where there's just still shots now) and on My Space, if you are on My Space please feel free to make me a friend... and I'll do the same.
The Director's Cut of the first show, How to Grille will soon be available on DVD from my website. This will include a more Studio produced quailty show with some added footage and deleted scenes. It will also introduce the new intro and ending sequence as well as the Grilldog Theme Song performed and written by the San Diego Based Baja Blues Boys. The first show to incorporate the new format for TV will be the Egg Episode to be finished sometime in September 06.
