Now on with the International Intrigue!

1st, one of my fans sent me a recipe that they must think is the Cat’s Meow.  However, they did it in their native language and I don’t speak it.  Not sure why they didn’t send it in English.  However, I did a good job in translating it, well, it’s a start.  If you want a challenge, take a shot and help me out.  Didn’t think I’d put you to work this month did you! Bwa ha ha ha Oh, and he then didn’t return my emails so I did my best!

 Grilldog In Japan

There was so much going on in Japan I just couldn’t fit it in my Howler.  Therefore, I had to Blog it somewhere else.  So if you are interested in finding out what happened to Grilldog in Japan, you are going to have to wait till next month since I’m still editing it. bwa ha ha ha however, if you join my forum, or are a friend on Myspace, facebook or Twitter, you’ll know when and where it’s posted.  However, I can tell you this…

____

“Grilldog, we at United Airlines did not lose your luggage, you never checked any luggage.

I checked a large 32 pound black suitcase, where is it?

Grilldog you must be mistaken!

How could I not remember putting a 32 pound bag on a scale?

Grilldog you didn’t come here with any luggage.

But you checked me in.

I never saw you before.

Then how did I get this boarding pass?

You must have forgotten about checking in someplace else.”

 ____

“Guys, I’m in Japan, the culinary capital of the world and you think I’m going to eat at…”

___

The head Japanese chef after watching me cook this authentic Japanese dish, turned to the Japanese guests and said, Grilldog did it better then they did!

I’ll be demonstrating the American version of this dish on my next exciting video, Grilldog in Japan or some title like that.

Party with Grilldog In Mazatlan Mexico, October 18th… Grilldog Turns 50!

What else are you doing? This is your chance to Par TTTT with Grilldog!

That’s right gang, you all are invited to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay in Mazatlan Mexico, ok you have to fly there yourself, but for the first 4 folks that want to share a suite with Grilldog, Grillpup and Jr Dog, the cost for the accommodations will just be $200 per person for the WEEK!  Considering the smaller Junior Suites in the paradise complex are $130 bucks per night (not including tax), that’s a deal! I’m still working on trying to get discounts for other folks but if you have time sharing and are looking for an awesatious week, come to Mazatlan from October 16th - 23rd for one of the most awesatious events ever, GRILLDOG’s 50th Birthday!!! It doesn’t matter where you live in the world, this is your opportunity to vacation, have fun and party with Good ole Grilldog.  Be THE GRILLPACK OF FRIENDS. What else are you doing in October? Where else are you going for vacation?  This is a ONE Time Opportunity and when Opportunity Knocks, you GO!!!! It’s not about the TV Show, It’s not about anything other than having a Good time, with Good Friends, so be there or B-squared.  I’ll post more information each month but remember, the first 4 folks get the best deal… And I know some of you have time sharing… Dan, Kathy and others, so be there, I’ll even make special arrangements for my favorite stalkers! Oh yeah, I’ve blocked their IP addresses so they won’t know…. I can do that LOL I have more powers than you all know! ;-) Oh just a note, I was born on a Sunday, October 18th and October 18th 2009 is a Sunday… The Gods will be watching!

____________

Japan! OMGzilla! AND Arrigotto to my good friend and brother Yoshio

That’s right Gang, Last month, Grilldog and his Japanese Brother Yoshio filmed in Tokyo, Japan.  If you recall, Yoshio provided the voice over for Road Kill II.   We had a great time and here is some of the news from Japan!  The show is going to feature the Tokyo fish market, sushi, a variety of Japanese treats as well as some great scenes from the area. oh, and if you are not use to eating Sea Urchin in the Morning for Breakfast, Don’t!!! Just a friendly Grilldog Tip LOL.

Grilldog’s Japanese Hind Leg Salutes

Actually, this hindleg salute is for you frigg’n Americans that go out in a group of people to eat, YOUR order comes to 4 times more than anyone else and then insist that the check be split evenly.  Oh, I give a BIG Saturday Night Drinking Binge Night out on the Town Hind Leg to YOU, ya cheap BASTARDs!

Ok, another hindleg salute to You American Dogs.  If you are in a group of people and you are the only one who smokes.  Don’t go light one up during dinner! Inconsiderate Bastards!

The Biggest Hind Leg Salute goes to United Airlines.  I’m still at a loss for words. You’ll have to read my blog on Japan later this month for the full details.

Grilldog’s Four Paws and a Tail Salutes

The two Japanese gals that endured our friends drooling and were kind enough not just to point us in the direction of a good restaurant but to actually walk us over to it.

To United Airlines for hiring people suffering from the advanced stages of Alzheimer disease as Ticket Agents.

And Most of all the Four Paws and A Tail Salute of the year (and it’s only June) goes to my good buddy Yoshio who took me to many places around Tokyo that typical American tourists never get to see.  Yoshio will always be a brother to me.  Oh, sorry about snoring buddy. Oh, tell your neighbors I’m sorry about the snoring too, and the people across the street, I’m sorry the Prime Minister called to complain, I’m sure that was embarrassing!

Farrell’s Filming Fun

On May 30th, we filmed at Farrell’s Fireside n BBQ in El Cajon. We had a great time.  Although it was over cast, there were cars coming by constently making noise on the camera, the ad Ferrell’s ran said we’d be there on the 31st instead of the 30th and I advertised the address as Main St rather then 2nd Street.  However, we had a lot of people showed up, Ferrell’s sold a bunch of Grille’s, the Pig Donated by T&H Prime Meats and Sausages in San Marcus turned out GREAT!.  Imagine cooking a 30 pound stuffed hog in just 3 hours!  The Tomatilla stuffed Trout was my favorite. We made 3 flavored butters, Jalepeno/horseradish, roasted red bell pepper and blue cheese.  The Jalepeno Horseradish was a masterpiece.  Plus, we served it with a ton of grilled veggies, including grilled cabbage with a mango soysauce mix - it needed cayenne.  We may film there again, depending on how the  sould quality turns out.  It was a great time, I sold many of my cook books and we all got hog wild pigging out on grilled pig!  So if you are in the El Cajon area and are looking for a Grille, stop by Ferrell’s on North 2nd street (not Main St) and tell them Grilldog sent ya, you’ll be glad you did!

Grilldog is on Twitter, find out what Grilldog, Grillpup and Jr Dog are up to… user Name “The_Grilldog

April Fools!

I had to laugh and now apologize for my April Fool’s joke last month.  Evidently, I caught a few people who didn’t read too closely and thought I was giving up my show and awesatious identity.  You would not even believe the kind and supportive emails I was receiving from you dear folks out there who didn’t want Grilldog to go off the air.  There were offers of support from all over the world, encouragements to continue, etc.  I felt really bad to tell them it was an April Fool’s joke!

for June 2009-

No Plans, I was busy, sorry. I’ve got another 4 set DVD to get out.  Returning from Japan, I haven’t had time to produce a new show but I can assure you, by the end of June, we’ll certainly have filmed another episode.  So Contact Grilldog if you want a personal update! I have also been asked to make some new promos with Jr Dog to Promote Public Access TV. We are planning a fishing show, grilldog and co-host go fishing with a group of kids, we catch fish and grill it up and make fish sandwhiches right there on the ship, now that’s going to be a great show! We will be filming that in July! In August we are planning a REAL Pig Roast, complete in a pit, more on that in June!

Please, if you run into Grillpup, give her a supportive hug, she still doesn’t understand how come my 6 month old son and I communicate so well, guess we are just on the same level!

And now on to my regular pompous parading and prancing propaganda! June here we come!

Jr Dog Update:

Jr Dog missed his papa dog while he was in Japan but thanks to Web Cam and Skype we got to talk to each other every day.  Every time I said something he would get a BIG Grin and smile just knowing that his daddy was there for him, if only in bits and bytes.  He’s growing mighty big and starting to hold his bottle all by himself.  He loves meeting people and looks forward to new adventures.  However, be forewarned that if he has that bottle up to his mouth and drinking away, you better not interrupt or you’ll have a fight on your hands… hmm, takes after his old man already LOL

Grillpup

Grillpup enjoyed her respite for a week with Grilldog away.  She watched many videos, none of which I would have cared to see.  Jr dog learned a lot watching the Game Show Network 24/7 and Grillpup says she’s Happy with our new landscaped lawn and we got eco friendly glass put in the house so the house will be cooler.  That’s certainly making her tail wag a little more.  She’s also putting her Altima up for Sale so if you are looking for a used car let her know.  I have a 440cc scooter now so I don’t need no stink’n car LOL. I’m going to be taking a skills test in June, so I’ll be on the highway soon.  Grillpup is very supportive since she found out how much life insurance I have!

Grilldog was sited all over Japan (but not in McDonalds, Denny’s or KFC)

OMGzilla - Grilldog went to Japan.

I did take a lot of footage while I was in Japan and my next show is going to be based on my trip there.  It will sort of be like my London Trip except without doing a Pub Crawl.

Four Paws and a Tail Salute award for this month goes to…

Emily the bartender at Applebee’s at the Mall in El Cajon.

Grilldog’s Hindleg Salute goes too…

That guy in our complex that tore up our flower beds as he was trying to learn how to drive his new scooter!

Grilldog News Flash.

Grilldog has a New Scooter and is learning how to drive it!

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #1 : When Traveling, don’t follow the advice of that Gal that tells you how to eat for 40 dollars a day, unless you want to have a meal that consists of 1 waffle and a cup of coffee.  If you want to eat on a budget, Grilldog says, just don’t eat at a restaurant for every danged meal.  There are grocery stores everywhere that you can go in and get a good meal that’s ready to eat.  In fact, some even have microwaves you can heat a meal up in, especially in convenience stores.   Grocery stores are much cheaper than the restaurants and you have a nice variety of choices! Now that’s a good Grilldog tip to live by!

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #2 Always be sure to check that the United Airlines Ticket agent gives you a luggage receipt before you leave their stand or they might have just assigned Your Luggage to someone else! They hire Alzheimer’s patients as ticket agents you know!

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #3 If you are with a group of people and you can’t afford all the food you want to eat, don’t try and force your friends to split the tab! You Cheap Bastards!

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #4 If you traveled someplace and report to everyone you had a miserable time because nothing there was like your home, next time either get your head unstuck from your Ass or just stay home.

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #5 If flying makes you nervous and you have a hard time relaxing and or sleeping on an airplane, Grilldog only has one word to say to say to you… Xanax!

Grilldog’s Traveling Tip #6  if you are in a group of people and you are the only one that smokes, I don’t care about your frigg’n rights, they are out weighed.  If you must smoke, leave.

49 Getting Sauced - A BBQ show at the Warm Hearth, Lots of Food, Fun and Friends plus 6 new sauce recipes.  Ok, they are not new they are all from my recipe book.  Which of course you can order on line at www.grilldog.com

50 Recipe for Romance at Pure Platinum Gentleman’s Club and Sports Bar in La Mesa.  All I can say from the raw footage is that after watching this show you will never look at Olive Oil and Veggie’s in the same way again.   Here’s some Teaser’s… GG and G-Man made cameo’s, all the food and ingredients were aphrodisiacs. Jackie, Danika and Sarah from Tantalizing Tacos II co-hosted the show again, Grilldog in a strippers changing room and of course, the scene of all scenes, how to rub your veggies with olive oil… you’ll need a cold shower after that one.  We also have a special guest appearance by a 4th Grill Gal Lisa! I could start my own rock band!

51 Beer Fondue I’m thinking of calling it Grilldog Presents: To Fondue or Fondon’t LOL. I know there’s dozen’s of beer cheese recipes with domestic light beer and/or Guinness however what to do with Fat Tire, Arrogant Bastard, Honey Brown and Hefeweizen? Grilldog knows and will reveal all with 2 cheese sauces, 1 broth and a dessert recipe.  Plus I want to thank the Budweiser people who distribute Hefeweizen who gave me a cool shirt, hat and some other cool items for using their beer in the show.  The Bud people also gave me a huge banner.

Special thanks to the folks at Lee Books and Jude Liebermann, who without, the show wouldn’t be the same.

And remember folks:

If you are not about Food, Fun and Friends, you are doing IT Wrong.

The World is neither Black and White nor Shades of Grey, when you open your eyes, you can see it’s really MILLIONS OF COLORS!

So Keep Grill’n and Chill’n and tell them, Grilldog Sent ya! You’ll be Glad You Did!
